RANDOM FACTS

I use way too many exclamation marks, but I'm really just that excited!!!! I want to know what moves your heart. I say "that's so funny" quite a bit, but it can mean a number of things. I am a lover of donuts and tea. I floss every night before bed! I love the idea of being spontaneous, but rarely do things unplanned. I am the youngest of four girls, but I'm taller than all my sisters. I would love to open a cafe someday. I am fascinated by the bridegroom God and his ravished heart for all of humanity

    Portrait Session with E. Bryce

[“LIKE” this blogpost and leave a comment below to enter for another chance to win a FREE PHOTOSHOOT!]

Good morning and happy Thursday! : ) Today’s post will be my fourth and last entry from my trip to Texas. If you missed it, the first one was on swimming with Ella, the second post on Ella’s playdate, the third post on the family session I had with the Wangs, and finally this one is all about the newest member of the Wang Family, E. Bryce!

Since I was staying with my cousin for almost a whole week, I got to do a few mini sessions with this little man throughout my stay. E. Bryce is such a sweet, quiet, and calm baby. I love it when he smiles at me! : ) And I’m totally not surprised that the ladies from his daycare called him “the charmer.” Oh, he totally is!

    Is he not so handsome?!

I’m sure by now E. Bryce is already SO much bigger. I can’t wait for the next time I get to see him : )

    Shiloh’s 6 Months!

[“LIKE” this blogpost and leave a comment below to enter for another chance to win a FREE PHOTOSHOOT!]

I’m sure you all remember my adorable niece Shiloh from her newborn session and her 3 month shoot. She has grown SO much since then and I’m super excited to share these pictures with you : )

Two weeks ago my brother-in-law went out of town for a church conference so Eunice and Shiloh came to stay with me at my parents’ house (they were also out of town, so it was just the three of us..super fun!). Shiloh and I got to bond so much that week, my brother-in-law got super jealous! haha, jk Ben. But I did love bonding with her through napping and playing and even dancing in the middle of the night when she woke up for her feeding…my sister and I realized that was NOT a good idea when she got too excited and wouldn’t go back to sleep! haha

Do you think my sister and I look alike?! People used to think we were twins all the time. Anyway, wait til you see Shiloh’s cute lil’ swimsuit! Perfect for summer : )

I love you so much Shi! : )

    IT’S A BOY! Introducing Baby Daniel…

You guys must remember the Durretts from the maternity session I shot back in March. Cheryl was absolutely adorable with her baby bump and Dustan was such a trooper for sticking through the whole shoot. There were only two of them then, excited and eagerly anticipating the arrival of their new baby..boy..girl?! The Durretts had wanted to keep the gender of their baby a surprise and so they brought along two balloons for the shoot- one for the baby if he/she was a girl, and another balloon if the baby was a boy. This time when I went over, there was a new balloon floating in their living room…
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s my honor to announce…a baby BOY!  Welcome to the world, Daniel Riley Durrett!
I really love these next shots…
look at the way baby Daniel is looking up at his parents in the picture above..SO CUTE!
and finally, I’ll leave you with this last picture. You might remember this teddy-dog from Cheryl and Dustan’s maternity shoot- the Durretts want to take a picture of Daniel with this stuffed animal every month to see how much he grows…I love that! I’ll be seeing this sweet family again in just a few months and I can’t wait to see how much bigger baby Daniel will be! : )

Lindsey’s 18 Months, Sisters, and a Very Special Japanese Maple Tree

If you don’t already know, I am the youngest of four girls. Our names all start with the letter “E” and we all love to snack. LOVE to snack. I’m always asked how I like having so many sisters and what it feels like being the baby of the family. I always tell them- I love it! And really, I do.
Wendy and I spent the afternoon chatting about sisters. She has three little girls and they are all just the cutest thing. I love watching them interact and finding out what makes them so different from each other. It seems kind of silly, but some people assume all my sisters are just like me or that we’re all pretty much the same person. And when they do, I really wish I could sit them down and tell them about each one of my sisters and how we’re all so unique!..and sometimes i do! : )
Anyway, Wendy had asked me to come take pictures for her youngest daughter, Lindsey, to celebrate her 18 months. It was really nice spending time with this little one, because I usually play with the two older girls more. Still, it was so much fun having all three girls come in for a couple of shots toward the end of our shoot. Man, sisters are just too fun! : )
This is all in their front and backyard, by the way. So beautiful!
When I found out this Japanese Maple Tree was a gift from Wendy’s husband Dennis for her first Mother’s Day, I knew we had to take some pictures with all of the girls in front of this tree..how could we not?! see why sisters are so much fun?! we make each other laugh : )
I’m so so SO excited for these girls and their lives together! : )

    Family Session with the Chens

Three weeks ago when I drove to norcal for Shelley Paulson’s workshop, my mom and I made a stop on the way back down to photograph the Chens! When we arrived,  I remember walking in the front door and seeing three smiley faces staring back at me. Grace had asked me to come in before the shoot so the boys could warm up to me, but it was so much easier than I had thought! : ) Everyone, meet the Chens!
We headed out to a nearby park where Grace and Dale set up an Easter egg hunt for the boys. I love how the eggs were filled with crackers and yummy snacks! : ) Here is Conely, the oldest, SUPER excited for the hunt!      I loved watching all the different expressions he made.

Grace also got these super cool bunny-ear hats for the boys. Gotta love ’em!
and in case you haven’t noticed, these two cuties are TWINS! so fun! : )
and now, a few pictures with the hardworking parents..and I really do mean hardworking!
As we wrapped up our session and as I was heading out, I just HAD to pull out my camera for one last shot of the two boys rocking on the swings. Haha, don’t you just love how they’re totally in sync?!
    and that’s it! : )

    A few SNEAK-PEEKS!

Hello everyone! This coming weekend and the following week will be busy, busy, busy for Eileen Liu Photography, so I wanted to leave you guys with a sneak-peek of some posts to look forward to! Enjoy!

    Elijah’s 8 Months…

    The Chens…

and Lindsey’s 18 Months! and btw, it’s EASTER this Sunday! Hope your day is filled with so much HOPE and overwhelming JOY! : ) here’s a bonus picture just for fun… have a wonderful weekend!

    The Hos

Two Sundays ago I spent the day with the Hos. My cousin Esther and her husband Ed just brought home their new baby girl, Eleanor, and had asked me to come over to take a few photos of their new bundle of joy. Now here is their beautiful family of 5! I love how even baby Ellie is smiling in this one! : )
The boys are so sweet. As soon as I walked in the door they came to welcome me and help me with the bags I was carrying. So thoughtful! I got a quick tour of the their beautiful home (it was my first time there!) and then got started. Esther was so excited because Ellie was actually awake for the shoot! She’s such a beautiful girl! : )
And now look at little Alex saying hello to his baby sister… so cute!
While Ellie rested I got to hang out with the boys for a bit. They are super silly and so much fun! The Hos have a nice little park right outside their house so Alex and Jacob showed me their cool scooter skills! I’m not gonna lie- I was a bit nervous for the boys..they ride so fast! We ended our shoot with a few group pictures…
haha, love this last shot! Oh, what a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful family! : ) After the shoot we met up with our other cousins for dinner at a little ramen place nearby. yumm, perfect way to end a lovely day : ) Thank you for such a fun time. Can’t wait to visit you guys again!

    Happy 3 Months Anna!

It’s not always easy following your dreams. Of course there are days when I feel like I can just fly and conquer the world, but then there are those other days when it all gets overwhelming and even something fun like editing photos, is difficult. It’s during those days when I am reminded of how important it is to be around supportive and uplifting people..people like Judy.
I’m super thankful that I was able to spend the morning with Judy and baby Anna two weekends ago. I can’t believe how fast her little one is growing! This was the first time we met up in the morning for a shoot and I was so excited because Anna was in the best mood ever! See for yourself : )
so funny, Anna was very focused on the ruffles on her pants…and this wonderful backdrop?! Judy made this quilt for Anna. I love all the colors!
And now, the many faces of Anna Beth Chen!
Anna was born with a lot of hair. Can you tell? We took a little break from taking photos to water it down and tie it up. Tadaaa!
Thank you for such a wonderful shoot Judy and Anna! And thank you Judy for all your prayers, encouragement, and words of wisdom. I am so blessed to have you! : )

    Happy 3 Months Shiloh!

Shiloh is currently napping in my sister’s old bedroom as I write this post. It’s right next door to my room and I keep thinking she’s making noises, but that’s just the birds/owls?! outside my window; I swear they chirp/hoot like a baby’s whimper. But that’s besides the point.
Shiloh and Meghan, my other niece, are exactly three months apart (minus 1 day). So when we took pictures for Meghan’s 6 months we also took pictures for Shi’s 3 months. I really like the blue interior of the beach house we visited and love the way it compliments Shiloh’s outfits. My sister and I actually went shopping the day before and came back with a whole wardrobe for this little one. And now…. her fashion show!
    little jellies!

This here is Shiloh’s famous furrowed brows! She’s always very intense and it’s so stinkin’ cute! We wonder what she thinks about?
I love this next picture of Shi and just how soft it feels. It describes her perfectly- even her cry is soft and delicate.
and now Shiloh’s up so I’ll end with these last pictures : ) Shiloh and her last outfit change for the day and below that, Shiloh with mommy and daddy! Love you, Shi. Now i’m going to go play with you!
