RANDOM FACTS

I use way too many exclamation marks, but I'm really just that excited!!!! I want to know what moves your heart. I say "that's so funny" quite a bit, but it can mean a number of things. I am a lover of donuts and tea. I floss every night before bed! I love the idea of being spontaneous, but rarely do things unplanned. I am the youngest of four girls, but I'm taller than all my sisters. I would love to open a cafe someday. I am fascinated by the bridegroom God and his ravished heart for all of humanity

Descanso Gardens Bridal Session with Bruce and Tiffany

Tiffany and Bruce just got married on Saturday! (Can I get a woot woot?!) Benny and I were so happy celebrate with them and enjoy the wedding day as guests. And today, I got to take their Day After Session right before they head out for their honeymoon. We seriously love these two SO much and couldn’t be happier for them! Here’s a sneak peek from their session at the Descanso Gardens! : )

    Bridals with Anna + Chris!

If you know me, you know I love my hometown more than anything. I’ve lived here my entire life (well, basically! We moved into Temple City when I was 6 months old) and I plan to raise my own family here one day! : ) Sooo, when my high school friends Anna and Chris contacted me to photograph their wedding I was MORE than excited! Plus, the subject to their email was “To the Best Photographer WE Know…” so nice!

Working with Anna and Chris was such a treat and they reminded me SO much of home. We decided to take their bridals near our area, in the San Gabriel Valley. We were able to hit three spots that day: first, a building we often pass by in the city, second, the church where Anna’s parents were married (so special!), and third, the park where Anna and Chris spent many of their high school and college weekends.

How blessed are these two, to be able to marry their best friends! They have a lovely story, but I’ll save that for their wedding post! : ) Anna’s mom made her bouquet for this session. Can you believe it?! It is so beautiful!

    Afternoon Tea at The Langham

Back in March I attended a workshop held by the amazing Caroline Tran. Now that some of our work have been published I get to share them with you here! : ) We had a pretty packed day at The Langham in Pasadena and Caroline provided us with lots and lots of lovely things to eat and photograph. Thank you Caroline for this opportunity and thank you Skybox Events for organizing it all! Enjoy and stay tuned for part 2 from the workshop : )

Bridal Session with Flora and Kai

When I first met Kai he expressed his and Flora’s fear of being photographed. They were “shy,” he explained. But after their engagement session I knew they had nothing to worry about! : ) Because Flora had flown in from China just a few weeks before their wedding, we had their engagement session, bridals, AND wedding all within two weeks. It was a festive two weeks alright, but I loved that they were able to get away for these shoots and spend some time together in the midst of the business.

love, love, LOVE the colors here!

See? They’re such naturals! Stay tuned for a post on their beautiful wedding!

Bridal Session with Gwen & Geoff

I am so so SO excited to share this post with you, because I am so sure you will love it! : ) My best friend Gwen (you should remember her from the family session I shot earlier this year and from my photoshoot giveaway!) got married three weeks ago and I was able to take her bridals just days before the big day. I had just gotten back from Taiwan the night before our shoot, but wanting to be ready and alert for this I forced myself to stay awake on the plane ride home (yes, all 13-14 hours! haha jk, I allowed myself to sleep a tiny bit!). And it was a good thing I did, because everything was SO beautiful that day from Gwen to her dress to her hair to the yummy sunlight and our wonderful location- I was so excited to capture it all. I also had a very hard time choosing which pictures to use for this post because I love Gwen (and Geoff!) and she looks drop dead GORGEOUS in every. single. picture! So without further ado, Gwen and Geoff, everyone!

See what I mean?! Gwen and Geoff are so natural in front of the camera. And if you can believe it, it gets better from here…

Here is where the sunlight gets amazing!! Love the yellow glow : )

Geoff, you look equally handsome here!

G&G, Congratulations once again! I loved taking your bridals and I can’t wait to take pictures for your baby in a few years, hehe ; ) Love you tons!

BRIDAL SESSION WITH JUNG AND HENRY

[“LIKE” this blogpost and leave a comment below to enter for another chance to win a FREE PHOTOSHOOT!]

After Henry and Jung’s wonderful engagement session I was totally looking forward to our next shoot- bridals! Jung got her hair and make-up done that morning and was absolutely stunning in her white gown. ALL of that+ the breathtaking view at Laguna Beach= perfect bridal session! I couldn’t get over how beautiful everything was…

Jung, you’re breathtaking. You are going to make SUCH a gorgeous bride!

Henry and Jung wanted to end their shoot with some jumping pictures. It was really the perfect way to end our session- lots of laughs and so much joy! : ) I can’t believe you two will be married in less than three weeks! Woohoo! : )

    Hanalei and Austin’s Bridal Session

Hello from Kansas City! Today is my second day here and I’m already missing the nice California weather- IT IS SO HOT AND HUMID here! I am resting a bit more though and enjoying my time with family. But as much as I wanted to take a break from the computer, I felt super antsy yesterday so I edited some more photos. I’m about done with Hanalei and Austin’s bridal session and I’m super excited to share them with you!
Hana and I went to high school together and we both served on ASB. I loved reminiscing about the good old days through our emails and planning for her big day. When we finally met up earlier last month to go over some details for the wedding I got to hear a little bit more about her fiance Austin, but it wasn’t until the day of our shoot that I met this lucky man. Hana and Austin are super cute together- just see for yourselves! (And for more on their love story, stay tuned for posts from their wedding day!).
We spent half of our time at the temple in LA where Hanalei and Austin got married (a few days after this shoot!). I had driven by this temple so many times while I was at UCLA, but this was my first time actually visiting the grounds and WOW, it is HUGE!
And aren’t they such beautiful people?! Hana is half Vietnamese and Austin is half Cantonese. They are going to have beautiful babies : )
These next shots are my favorite!
After our time at the temple we quickly headed over to the beach to catch the sunset.
I loved shooting your bridals, Hana! Hope you’re having fun on your honeymoon : )
