RANDOM FACTS

I use way too many exclamation marks, but I'm really just that excited!!!! I want to know what moves your heart. I say "that's so funny" quite a bit, but it can mean a number of things. I am a lover of donuts and tea. I floss every night before bed! I love the idea of being spontaneous, but rarely do things unplanned. I am the youngest of four girls, but I'm taller than all my sisters. I would love to open a cafe someday. I am fascinated by the bridegroom God and his ravished heart for all of humanity

    Happy 6 Months Meghan!

March was a very busy month for my family. We celebrated four birthdays, one of them being my dad’s big 70th!, and so my sister’s family came in from Kansas City to join in the celebration. We spent a few days in Laguna Beach where we snacked and played, enjoying every moment of our beautiful beach house, super blessed by our parents’ kind friends who let us stay. We took advantage of having all of our family together and got in a few mini-shoots by the beach- can’t wait to share all of them with you!
With my sister’s family so far away it’s hard to keep up with every stage the kiddies go through, but I’m so glad they were in town for Meghan’s 6 months! You might remember her from my very first post when she was born and now here she is a lot chubbier, completely healthy and doing very well!
Sometimes I feel like I’m just getting to know Meghan since she’s still so young, but I already love everything about this little girl. She really is a bundle of joy and I miss her so much!
We love this stage that she’s in…super chunky! : )
I love it when Meghan smiles! : )
I think she held onto that foot the whole time! haha. She finally figured out a way to put it in her mouth!
and check out these rolls! gotta love ’em!
We ended our shoot out by the beach. I really love how these turned out! Here’s Meghan with her mommy, my oldest sister Emily.
Meghan, you are SO cute, but you are growing way too fast! I think I’ll just have to make a trip out to Kansas City  soon! : )
And just for fun, here’s a few pictures of Meghan’s older brother Noah, who is officially potty-trained now! : ) Good job Noah!

    Makayla Elizabeth, 2 Weeks Old!

Sarah and I met up a few weeks before Makayla was born to hang-out, catch-up, eat, and shop for baby clothes. Throughout the day Sarah would reach into her purse for a roll of Smarties every 5 minutes (ok, I’m exaggerating!)- that was her only craving during this pregnancy! After our date I knew we just had to have Smarties in our photoshoot…and so we did! Our shoot also centered around other things that Sarah loves- pink, kitty cats, and pink kitty cats! : )
We put some Smarties in Makayla’s hands and she wouldn’t give them back! It’ll be a while before you can actually have some of that, Makayla.
Sarah is such a great mom. It was so beautiful to watch her interact with Makayla.
And now the Kitty cats…so cute!

I really love how these last few shots turned out. With Makayla sleeping so peacefully and the flowers so dreamy I feel like I entered into a fairy tale or something.
Can’t wait to see you again Makayla! : )

    Shiloh Grace Hui

Born on December 16, my third sister’s first baby, the sixth grandchild in our family, and my new niece! Everyone, meet Shiloh Grace Hui!
Don’t you just love her name? It means “gift of God” and is the place in the Bible where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. I was able to visit the actual place during my trip to Israel 2 weeks ago…how cool is that?!
Ben and Eunice decided on Grace as a middle name, because 5 years ago from Shiloh’s birth date was what they called their “Day of Grace.” It was that night that they became a couple. I love how it all fits together! : )
Shiloh is adorable. Even when she was in the womb she would “shy” away when there was a lot of noise. Now, she just pretends to sleep when there are too many people around..so funny!
This beautiful quilt was hand-sewn by Ben’s mom, by the way. I really love all the details that went into it. So much love! Plus, it made such a fun backdrop for our shoot!
Oh Shi, we love you so much! Happy 1 month from your Ayi-4!
I never did post on Ben and Eunice’s baby shower. You can find BE baby! pictures on my facebook page. If you’re looking for your photobooth pictures, they’ll be up soon!

    Anna Beth Chen

Happy 1 month to Anna Beth Chen! I took pictures for Timmy and Judy’s baby shower in October and now baby Anna is finally here. She is SO adorable and looks just like her parents! We had our photoshoot a few days after Anna was born so she’s already grown so much since these pictures were taken.
Timmy and Judy spent a lot of time preparing for Anna’s arrival- her room is super cute with lavender walls and detailed decorations. Judy even made her own mobile with little hand-sewn birds!
Love the “ABC” onesie that Judy’s friend Christine made during the baby shower. Anna Beth Chen, ABC, get it?! Love her initials!
And I love how big Timmy’s hands seem compared to Anna’s tiny body in this next picture, and then Judy’s in the next…
Oh Anna, you’re such a cutie! I’m so excited I get to watch you grow up! : ) Can’t wait to see what you’ll be like!

    Alexis Yong-Jie Wang

Alexis Yong-Jie Wang was born on Thanksgiving day. She is such a beautiful girl and I’m so glad I just happened to be in Boston to photograph her. It was so much fun visiting my cousin Stan and his wife Melissa and their new baby girl!
I love how these pictures are all super pink! Melissa mentioned how it made Alexis’ skin tone look good. I’d have to agree..you’re going to love wearing pink when you’re older, Alexis! : )
And now getting close and personal with baby Alexis…
Check out this super cute Christmas outfit from her Auntie (and my cousin!) Justina…perfect for the holidays!
Wow, she sure is something to be thankful for this year (and for all the years to come!). Congratulations again on your beautiful girl, Stan and Melissa! : ) Can’t wait to see you guys in California next year!
And a HUGE shoutout to Nate Lao for letting me use his Canon 5D Mark II for this shoot! Thanks Nate!

    The Chous!

Christine and Joe were my high school advisors at church. It’s crazy that they have two little boys now! It was such an honor to photograph them. Just a week before the shoot I was able to spend time with the Chous. It was my first time really interacting with Isaac and Micah and I had such a blast! The boys are so much fun to be around! Read on and you’ll see what I mean! : )
This is 4-month-old Micah. Look at that laugh. He’s such a cutie!
And this one is Isaac. He’s a little ball of energy! Can you tell?!
Together they make such a lovely family!
The Chous have a huge tree and a swing in their front yard. I think I might want one in the future, too…it’s so fun!
And I quickly learned that there’s a secret to children photography…
    yes, COOKIES!
They really were magical, getting Isaac to pose and everything!
And finally, a picture of the hardworking parents. Joe and Christine, the photoshoot was so much fun! I’ll be coming back to visit soon! : )

    Baby Esme

I had such a great time photographing Baby Esme last weekend. She is such a trooper! Having just come back from an unexpected visit to the doctor’s that morning Esme still did so well throughout the shoot.
When Jenny first asked me to do a babyshoot for her 3-month-old Esme I went to look up the meaning of her name. Esme means “love.” Isn’t that really beautiful?
And so I thought it would be more than appropriate to take pictures of the family with block letters spelling out the word LOVE. I really “love” how it turned out! : )
Jenny and her husband Arthur are high school sweethearts! Isn’t that fun?! : ) And I quickly found out they both graduated from UCLA, too (GO BRUINS!). Here’s their little bruin in the making…
    love her little fingers…
Baby Esme is such a cutie! The shoot was a lot of fun and I had just as much fun editing the photos. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter, Jenny and Arthur! She truly is loved! : )

    A Sneak-Peek From Today!

I had a very eventful day today! My body is so tired from a full day of shooting, but I couldn’t wait to edit the pictures…so I didn’t! Here’s a sneak-peek of a shoot I had with baby Esme this morning and then one with Noah in the afternoon! The rest are coming soon : )

    THE LEES

To celebrate Meghan’s one month we decided to do a mini photoshoot with the family! Everyone meet the Lees (Yes, all 6 of them!)!

Here are the kiddies with Akong and Ama.

My second sister Liz made (she can make anything and everything!) this super cute headband for baby Meghan. And now, on to the other three kids!
From oldest to youngest, here is Kay, Rebekah, and Noah.
They are a silly bunch and I’m going to miss them SO much when I head back to LA.

    MEGHAN HOPE LEE

I’m so excited that my first post will be on baby Meghan! Meghan is my niece, and also the fourth child in the family- just like me! Having just graduated from college, I was able to spend some time living with my sister’s family in Kansas City, preparing for Meghan’s arrival, welcoming her into our family, and capturing her first few weeks in this new big world!

So on September 17th Meghan finally arrived! It was such an exciting day for all of us, but we didn’t expect that she would have to stay in the NICU for the next 11 days as her lungs continued to develop. Those days were rough for the whole family. It was hard watching her struggle for air, breathing and feeding from tubes, and just not being able to take her home.
About a week in the nurses told us that Meghan yanked out the tubes herself (go Meghan!). Because of that, they decided to keep her off the tubes and have Emily nurse instead, which was a huge step! We were all so proud of her. A few days later we brought Meghan home and as you can imagine, everyone was super excited!

Here is big brother Noah reading “Go, Thomas, Go!” to his new baby sister!
Oh welcome to the world, Meghan Hope Lee! We’re so happy you’re here!!
Stay tuned for more pictures of baby Meghan and the family!
